Love her!

Ok, so a lot of you guys know that I love politics. I'm a total nerd, I listen to talk radio in the car and watch the news when I'm at home. I have to say I was not excited about this election at all, but that all changed when Senator McCain chose Sarah Palin to be his VP! I hope everyone was able to hear her speech tonight at the republican convention. She was amazing!!! She is the type of change I can believe in! She has a little downs baby, and in her speech she talked abut what a blessing it is to have him in there family. She also talked to us families with special needs children and said we can count on her to be our friend and advocate in the white house. I totally teared up when she said that. We need her fighting for our special ones. Sarah Palin has my VOTE!

I HAVE to read this online. I thought I recorded it last night, but it didn't work. It sounds like it was awesome!

Ab, I totally listen to talk radio too! I have to admit that McCain's speech tonight wasn't nearly as powerful as Palin's. I just wish all of her kids were older...it's going to be so hard on her family to have her working such a rigorous schedule.

I listen to MPR to get the scoop and have been watching/following the political channels. BUT I didn't follow the democratic convention - and would now like to go back and watch Obama's acceptance speech to contrast it w/ McCain's. I thought McCain did a great job tonight - I am anxious for the debates to see where both really stand. Obama kinda gives me the willies though. (HELLO, did you see Glen Beck tonight!???)
Palin did a great job in her speech. I was like ???? when I first heard McCain picked her as a running mate - But the more I learn, the more I like.
I think the mainstream media is really interesting -100% behind Obama...and I think young voters jump on the 'cool' bandwagon - or what they are trying to make look cool (Obama).
The only thing that frustrates me w/ Politics is that no one ever seems to shoot straight...I never feel like I can really believe what any candidate is promising...But I believed McCain tonight & Palin last night...at least I really want to!

I caught the last half of her speech and was very impressed with her. She seems real and down to earth. The only thing that bugs me is when they make jabs at each other. But all politicians do it. I'm still not a huge fan of McCain but I do like his VP choice. I'm just wondering who will take care of her kids while she is busy taking care of the country.

oh! i knew i would find a political post here--good job, abby! and i'm glad you're stoked on the vp pick. for that choice, i have one word: brilliant. seriously, this is a genius move by mccain. i really wanted romney in there and on that ticket (i wanted to pull the lever for my candidate just once more!), but the more i see of palin, the better i feel about her. i was so impressed with both her speeches. what a fighter and what a great example of down-home conservative values, integrity, and leadership. i am IN!

by the way, i ordered my "stop obama" bumper sticker today. guess all that time spent in ithaca got to me a little! i've finally succumbed to bumper-stickers. hahaha. i saw a cute "mccain palin" sticker though, right after i bought it and i wished i got that one instead. it is PINK! now, how many presidential campaign stickers have we seen that look like THAT!? love. it. =)

I agree! I'm a total politics nerd myself. I love Shawn Hannity (sp?) and I listen to him all the time. Anyway, GO SARAH (and McCain too, I guess)!

My husband and I are so in the dark when it comes to politics but with the announcement of Governor Palin and all the controversy we were hearing, we decided to check her out for ourselves. We watched her speech on YouTube and loved it!

She's got my vote also. I think Mccain was so smart to choose her. I love that she is such a go getter, very smart, classey and at the same time an all American girl. I hope she does well. I hope her family does well also.
