Master Cleanse

OK, call me crazy but I just started this master cleanse. It's a 10 day cleanse to help get rid of toxins and all the bad stuff that we build up in our body. A couple of years ago I would have thought you were crazy for doing something like this but now having a son with autism has really made me explore the body and how it effects us so much when we don't properly take care of it. I have been so sick all winter catching everything that is out there and I've finally decided to try this cleanse to see if it helps me feel better and keep feeling better. I've enjoyed reading this book and learning more about how our body needs to rid it's self from these toxins. I have been on a yeast/candida cleanse trying to get rid of all the yeast in my body so I thought it would be perfect to end that with this cleanse to make sure I get it all. Many people have yeast problems from years of antibiotics and eating foods that feed the yeast. Yeast can cause so much havoc to the body and by getting rid of it you can cure your self of many of your aliments. So really why I am posting this is so I have someone to account for. Since this isn't easy especially for someone who LOVES food, but I'm so sick of not feeling good. I'm ready to make the change. I have been off of bread and sugar for about 3 weeks with the yeast cleanse and am amazed how much better I feel. ( So I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I can make it 10 days. Today was pretty brutal, it took me about 1 1/2 hours to drink the salt water this morning. YUK! One day down 9 more to go!

Um..good luck with that. I don't think I could do it. Although I do know that when I eat good and exercise I really do feel so good and don't get sick as much. Let us know how it turns out!

Salt water - doesn't sound too good. 3 weeks without bread and sugar - you are strong!! I'm anxious to hear how the cleanse goes. I'm glad you feel better. I totally believe nutrition affects so much of how we feel.

Hey good luck with that. My mom has done this cleanse multiple times and feels great after doing it and I think it's awesome you are doing it. I tried it once with my hubby but I am hypoglycemic and the maple syrup, although pure and really full of good stuff for you, had too much sugar for me and I wasn't able to do it but I really wish I could have. Good luck! Keep us posted. My mom and husband said that days 2-3 were the hardest and then it gets easier so stick with it.

Abby be really careful with this cleanse i know a lot of people who have done and and there can be crazy reactions just pay attention to how you feel okay and stop it if you feel strang our out of the ordinary. The benefits can be awesome for just pay attention.

Wow. Go Abby. Cody did a cleanse once, but it was with lemon aide and Pure Maple syrup. It did make him feel better. I know there are a lot of benefits to fasting too. That is probably one of the reasons we do it once a month too.

Wow, you go girl! Let me know how it goes! My mom does stuff like this, and she said it's crazy how much better you feel after it's all over with!

That's really interesting! I really believe all that stuff works though. I think we put so much junk into our systems and with all the preservatives, hormones, and whatever else, it's good to do a body cleanse.

I am so glad to hear that you're learning so much about being healthy. Way to go!! I've never quite attempted the Master Cleanse...I have a hard time fasting so I stick to a simple 3 day juice fast. Its awesome...I love how I feel once its all over, totally worth it. Sorry its taken me forever to post on your blog. Love ya, ya know!!

Good luck on the cleanse. Maybe you remember but I grew up with a mom all about cleanses and what have you. She goes against the grain, a lot. Anyway, I have been told, be her, and others to go on the candida diet for my infertility issues. Is it just staying off of bread and sugar? Or is it a book you read? Let me know, I would love to hear more about your experience with it!!!

I wanna know how it goes! My mom is VERY into this stuff as well. She's done a lot of research into candida and probiotics relating to Fibromyalgia. Her website is www.fibromialgiarecovery.com if you want to see.

By the way, we all need to get together next time Deb is in town! It's fun seeing Holly at church!

I'm glad you are feeling better with your change in diet. I hope it continues. However, it really makes me sad because I feel like when we go out to eat (whenever that might be again) we won' be able to enjoy some our food favs. Okay...I'll stop being selfish and just be happy for you! Love you!
